Welcome to The Central Surgery
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Important Patient Information
The practice is undergoing a system software change over in July. This will mean that from 5:00pm on Friday 10th July to 6:30pm on Monday 20th July our services will be limited. Please note the below:
Prescriptions: If your routine repeat prescription is due during this time please order it early. For this short period you will also not be able to order prescriptions online.
Appointments: There will be no prebookable GP appointments available as we will be offering emergency GP and nurse appointments only.
Administration: We will be unable to register new patients and will only be processing urgent referrals and letters.
Normal service will resume on Tuesday 21st July.
Get Well, Keep Well
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.
There is a disabled persons parking area on the front of the premises. If you have any problems using the ramp to the door please ask for help. We can accommodate wheelchairs in most of the consulting rooms and will always make arrangements for those patients who have mobility problems. If your appointment is with a doctor working upstairs and you need to be seen on the ground floor please let the receptionist know and arrangements will be made for the doctor to come downstairs to you. Very occasionally this might mean a slight delay in being seen.
